Stuart Smith
Owner | Managing Partner
Stuart has over 20 years of real estate, development, planning and property management experience. He provides clients with the expertise and guidance needed to maintain and protect their properties. Stuart takes pride in listening to client’s specific needs and ensuring the vision for their home is realized.
Stuart was born and raised in Cary, NC and earned his business and real estate/planning degree at Appalachian State University. He enjoys traveling and exploring and is an avid hiker, sailor and fisherman.
Catherine Smith
Owner | Managing Partner
Catherine is from Charlotte, NC and attended the University of North Carolina at Wilmington where she earned her degree in business economics. She has extensive experience in the private service industry and has served as the House Manager for several private families where she was responsible for the internal operation and upkeep of their homes. She is extremely detail oriented and finds true joy in taking care of others, ensuring that time spent in their home is comfortable and relaxing.
Catherine is also a travel and outdoor enthusiast and enjoys hiking, sailing, cooking and design.
Matt Highsmith
Maintenance & Repair Specialist
Matt joined our team in March, 2022. He brings with him over 15 years of remodeling and home repair experience. He enjoys problem solving and the wide variety of tasks each day brings. He is passionate about serving our clients and protecting their assets.
Prior to joining C.S. Smith, Matt operated his own property solutions business. He has been a proud resident of the High Country since 2016 and is also a North Carolina native, originally from Wilmington. In his spare time, Matt enjoys playing guitar and snowboarding.
Cindy Mayo
Administrative Assistant / Associate House Manager
Cindy joined our team in September 2023. She brings to the team experience in HR, administrative support, design, and hospitality. Her heart for service, ability to multi task, flexibility, and attention to detail is a valuable part of our team.
Cindy recently moved to the High Country from the Raleigh area. Growing up in the Pacific NW, being surrounded by nature is her refuge. Outside of her professional life, she enjoys home renovation projects, floral design, thrifting, spending time with her large family, and visiting her 2 grandsons in WA State.
